Obedience Group Class

Group obedience classes are designed to help your dog build reliable obedience skills around real-world distractions while strengthening your communication as a team.

In this structured class environment, dogs will practice foundational obedience such as sit, down, place, loose leash walking, recall, and impulse control while working around other dogs and people.

Our trainers will guide you step-by-step on how to properly communicate with your dog, reinforce good behavior, and troubleshoot challenges in a supportive setting.

This class is ideal for dogs who:
• Need practice listening around distractions
• Are building reliability with obedience commands
• Are continuing their training after private sessions or programs

Spots are limited to ensure each dog and handler receives individualized coaching.

Dogs should be comfortable working around other dogs in a structured training environment.

Volunteer Shelter Pack Walk

Join us for a structured pack walk designed to give shelter dogs the exercise, exposure, and guidance they need to thrive.

This is more than just a walk! It’s a hands-on opportunity to make a real impact while learning how to handle dogs in a calm, controlled, and confident way. Whether you’re experienced or brand new, you’ll be guided every step of the way.

What to expect:
• Structured group walk with clear guidance
• Hands-on handling experience with shelter dogs
• A supportive, positive environment for both humans and dogs

Who can join:
Anyone who wants to help, learn, and be part of something meaningful. No prior experience required but you do need to complete a training with the humane society in order to check out a dog.

Important details:
• Please arrive on time so we can start together
• Wear comfortable clothes and good walking shoes
• Dogs will be provided by the shelter

Spots are limited so we can keep things structured and safe. Please sign up in advance so we know you’re coming.

Coffee & Canines ☕️🐾

Coffee & Canines at Cache Coffee!

Join Valley K9 Training for a relaxed training-focused hangout at Cache Coffee! We’ll be using the outdoor seating area to practice calm public behavior while owners enjoy a cup of coffee.

Dogs will work on skills like:
• Impulse control
• Settling on an elevated bed/place
• Remaining calm around people and other dogs
• Practicing real-world manners in an outside café setting

This event is free to attend. Participants are encouraged to support Cache Coffee by purchasing their own drink inside.

Please bring:
• A standard leash
• Treats for your dog
• Elevated pet bed

Dogs should be able to remain reasonably calm around other dogs and people at a distance.

Valley K9 Pack Walk

Join us for a structured Valley K9 pack walk! 🐾

These walks are designed to help dogs practice calm, neutral behavior around other dogs while enjoying a group walk with fellow dog owners.

What to expect:
• Structured walking (no on-leash greetings)
• Guidance and small tips from a professional trainer
• A supportive and relaxed environment

Dogs of all training levels are welcome, but they should be safe to walk around other dogs at a distance.

Please bring:
• A standard leash
• Treats if you’d like to reward your dog
• Water for your dog
• Waste disposal bags

I rescued a Border Collie mix from Cache Humane a few months ago and quickly realized I needed help with some behavioral issues.
